Why Bhangarh is India's Most Haunted Place?

Deep in the heart of Rajasthan, India, lies the eerie and abandoned Bhangarh Fort, a place steeped in mystery and terror. This ancient fort has been shrouded in darkness and fear for centuries, attracting brave adventurers and curious souls who dare to uncover its secrets.

According to local folklore, Bhangarh was once a thriving city, home to over 10,000 people, including the royal family, merchants, and artisans. The city was founded in 1573 by Raja Bhagwant Das, a powerful ruler of the Kachwaha clan. However, a curse was placed upon the fort by a sorcerer, who was wrongfully accused of practicing black magic and executed by the king. The sorcerer's final words were said to have been, "May this city be destroyed and never be inhabited again." And so, the city was abandoned, left to crumble into ruins.

Another legend tells the story of Princess Ratnavati, the beautiful daughter of Raja Chhatra Singh, who was said to have been betrothed to a prince from a neighboring kingdom. However, a sorcerer, who was also in love with the princess, cast a spell on her, leading to her tragic death. The princess's spirit is said to haunt the fort, searching for her lost love.
